PROGRESS OF THE NATIONAL TROPICAL WEEDS ERADICATION PROGRAM
Simon has been employed as a technician and scientist at Tropical Weeds Research Centre in Charters Towers (north Queensland) since 2001 and is currently a senior scientist. Since 2004 he has conducted research on reporting progress of weed eradication programs, and trials to inform biological characteristics of target weeds including soil seed bank persistence and timing of maturity. Primarily researching weeds under the National Tropical Weed Eradication Program. Other research interests include factors influencing soil seed bank persistence of dry tropical weeds and the use of stem injected herbicides for woody weed control.
