Nominations for the NSW Weed Industry (Weed Professional) Award NSW, the Buerckner & Stephenson (Local Government) Awards are now open.
Finalists and the winners of each Award will be announced at the conference dinner at the 22nd NSW Biennial Weeds Conference in Dubbo 7 – 10 August 2023.
The Awards acknowledge the work of NSW Government, NSW Local Government and Community Weeds Professionals for their outstanding contribution towards protecting NSW from the impacts of weeds.
There are four categories:
The Buerckner Award – for outstanding contribution to the on-ground control of weeds in NSW (Applicants from Local Government only)
The Stephenson Award – for outstanding contribution to planning and managing weed management programs in NSW (Applicants from Local Government only)
The NSW Weed Industry Award – for outstanding contribution to weed management in NSW (Open to all weed professionals within NSW)
The NSW Weed Biocontrol Taskforce Award (Applications Closed)- for an outstanding contribution towards adoption, planning, coordination, or on-ground weed biocontrol in NSW.
